Action Speaks Louder Than Words
Saying Sorry Isn’t Enough

Like most people nowadays, I read Reddit stories from time to time. Especially the: “Am I the xxx” (AITA). Sometimes, I agree and sometimes disagree with whatever the op (original poster) has done or said. And, of course, there are times I’m very happy that I’m not him/her.
However, more often than ever, I think, “Seriously?! Why would anyone do/say that?” And then I remind myself about a quote that someone told me many years ago: “There is an idiot born every minute.” And after I started to read the Reddit stories, I’ve come to realise that it’s true!
Words are powerful in any situation, especially when it comes to relationships. Whether they are romantic, familial or professional. But words are still just words until you connect them with something.
This concept can be broken down into three simple ideas:
Love needs action
To love someone isn’t just about saying: “I love you” and being done with it. Love is not a passive feeling, it demands action. It’s about consistently showing someone that you care, that you (are trying to) understand them, and that you’re willing to invest in the relationship. This is what keeps love alive and thriving.
