I want to add that I think that I have behaved pretty well (if I may say so). So far since August 2022 I have only added 7 books to my ever growing collection. That is not that bad (I think).

If you have followed me here on Medium, then you already know that during my summer vacation we took a trip to Sweden. Of course, I just had to bring some reading material with me. So I brought 2 books (just in case) and came home with 5.

I do not read much in Swedish anymore, mostly Dutch or English. But these books had something special that made me take them with me.

It is a horror story about vampires. The first vampire book ever that I will read in Swedish.

The book is a little bit different compared to what I would normally read. But I have decided to try more books that are not like anything I have read before and this one comes close to that.

In 1909 the author Selma Lagerlöf became the first woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, with this book.

It is almost embarrassing that I have never read this book. When it has a such a special place in the Swedish history of literature.
