Bullet train -Review

What I expected and received.

I am going to the cinema with the rest of the family tonight.

It does not happen very often that we have the chance to do this all together. So I am looking forward to it.

We are going to see “Bullet Train” with Brad Pitt, Bad Bunny, Joey King, and many more. The movie is directed by David Leich who is known as a film director, actor, writer, producer, and has worked as stuntman for Brad Pitt.

What do I expect from the film?

I have seen the promos and read the ads. And what I expect is probably an American take on one of Jackie Chans movies called “Rush hour”.

As I recall “Rush hour” had a lot of action, humor and very little drama. Which is the kind of movie that I enjoy the most.

But will “Bullet train” exceed my expectations or not? Well, we will see.

My first thought of the movie is: It is a movie made to entertain.

“Bullet train” has a lot of action and catchy dialogues. With flashbacks that reminds me a little of another movie: “Kill Bill”.

While I found that “Kill Bill” had a heavy seriousness hanging over the movie. “Bullet train” had more of an easy-going feeling.

It may have something to do with my sense of humor, but I enjoyed wathing the movie. In fact: It has been a while since I have since I laughed that much!

For those who have no idea of what the movie is about, in short:

An assassin with the codename Ladybug (played by Brad Pitt) is back in business, after some time off.

He gets a very simple mission (or so he things) he has to get on a train, pick up a suitcase and get off the train. Sounds simple, does it not?

Well, things are not as simple as it looks like. Because Ladybug, is not the only one after the suitcase.

Conclusion: The movie was not what I had expected. But it is the kind of movie that I would enjoy to see again one day.
