Does time Heal everything?
Does time heal everything?
I think that every one of us has our own answer to this question.
Before I give you my answer, I want to check what google says about this:
It does not matter if you are prepared or not. When something drastic happens that changes the foundation you have learned to rely on, will cause an immediate impact on you. And it hurts.
We all deal with pain in different ways. Some ignore it and try to continue their lives as if nothing has happened.
Some drown in it and find themselves not being able to move on.
Others embrace the pain, knowing that eventually, it will get better.
But how does it eventually “get better”?
There lies the debate. How can an emotion so powerful that it can break down anyone, just disappear?
I am sure that You have your answer to this question and so do those who have studied the subject.
This is, however, my take on this.
I believe that it does not go away. It is as simple as that. It does not go away.
Most humans need habits. A strong foundation to build on. That’s why divorces are so destroying to everyone involved. Even when it is a choice to go separate ways, it is still hard to go through and I hear frequently about partners who after the divorce needs professional help. Because they simply do not know how to build themselves up again.
Eventually (in most cases), it all falls together and a new foundation is in place. As everyone involved adapts to the situation.
I believe that it is the same when someone has passed away. The pain does not go away, but we adapt ourselves to the pain and learn to live with it. As times go by, the pain becomes a part of who we are and therefore we feel less of it. It will always be there somehow. But not as intense as first.
Now, this does not happen overnight. It takes time to create a new foundation after any kind of change. I believe that it is why people are saying: Time heals everything.
