Exploring Breda: A Blend of Old and New
A Cozy Bookstore Surprise and more.
My daughter and I recently visited Breda. We stumbled upon a charming and inviting bookshop called “Latte’s and Literature.”
Its exterior doesn’t make a strong impression. Initially, we even wondered if it might be closed due to its subdued lighting.
However, the moment we stepped inside, I couldn’t help but bring a smile to my face. I thoroughly relished everything about this shop!
The ambience was warm and welcoming, featuring a small café tucked in the corner. Upon entering, we were greeted by shelves displaying board games. Yet, as we delved deeper, we came across tables adorned with books.
And then, naturally, there are the bookshelves. What we noticed pretty soon was that they only had books in English. Something that just made my day even better.
This time, we only left the shop with four books, primarily due to the challenge of carrying more. However, on my next visit, I’ll make sure to take along a shopping trolley, and I won’t depart until:
1. I’ve thoroughly explored every corner.
2. The trolley is brimming with books.
I have a deep fondness for visiting Breda. It’s a city that radiates vitality. The shops are remarkable and incredibly diverse.
Despite not being particularly inclined towards shopping on this occasion, we managed to spend a couple of hours leisurely, having plenty to observe and deriving straightforward pleasure from the experience.
Breda is a place where history meets modernity. There are buildings dating back to the early 14th century, mingling with contemporary structures.
A standout attraction is the Grand church in the heart of the city. It’s a highly captivating church with a rich historical background.
Needless to say, I enjoyed my day in Breda a lot and can’t wait to come back again someday.
