Balance in Daily Life

Today, I have a bunch of tasks waiting for my attention:

  • Doing the laundry
  • Cleaning the windows
  • Painting a wall
  • Vacuuming the rooms

The list grows as I think about it further. But today, I choose to halt my thoughts on everything that needs to be done.

Today, I press the Pause button.

The weeks fly by faster than I can keep up. There are days when it feels like I’m clinging onto a runaway train.

So, I purchased a calendar this year to keep track of everything happening, where and when. It helps me feel like I have some control over My Time, making it feel like it’s not slipping away so quickly.

But most importantly, I use the calendar to schedule some Me Time.
I realized that if I carve out Time for myself amidst everything else, there is a bigger chance that I will spend Time on myself, not for anyone else’s.
