Review: The Name of the Wind
My thoughts about the book.

I picked up this book out of pure curiosity. It didn’t take long for me to realize that the book is very different than most books that I would read and I love it!
Every chapter adds another puzzle piece to the story, so you can’t skip a couple of chapters and hope that you won’t miss anything.
About the book:
Meet Kwothe, the man with as many names as legends attached to him.
As we enter the story, Kwothe and his student Bast live as pub owners.
But things are about to change. Big spider-looking creatures with swards are closing in. And a chronicler is visiting, eager to learn about Kwothe’s past life.
The story is told from Kwothe’s perspective as he recounts his life to the chronicler. It is a life filled with tragedy, triumph, and betrayal. As Kwote grows from a young orphan boy to a powerful wizard and musician.
The book is set in a fictional world where magic is real and the power of words and music can shape reality.
One of my favourite parts of the book is how Patrick Rothfuss describes the world he created for Kwoth. It is rich in history, culture, and mythology. With a well-developed magickal system, however with limitations.
The characters in the book are also well-described and complex. And I loved their uniqueness. Kvothe, with a…
