The Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, or so they say.

Reading hour with my family.

My kids and I find things to do together whenever possible. Lately, they came up with the idea of reading together once a week.

After reading for an hour, we discuss what we have read, and I’m always so surprised about how much they have grown. They are my kids and will always be. But they are also entering adulthood and are often much smarter than I was at their age.

For as long as I can remember, my daughter has loved horror and crime. But I guess that I have led her to love fantasy books as well, because she has started to borrow some of my books.

However, this book that she’s reading right now is one she picked up during her last visit to the bookstore.

This is the second part of a duology. She loved the first book, so of course, she needed to read the second part.

The name of the first book is: House of Salt and Sorrows.

And it was about a girl who tried to find out why 5 of her sisters had passed away.
